We've expanded our Special Collections & Archives (SC&A) to include items related to water preservation, transportation, geography, Hays County history, TXST and added an Alkek Library Reading Room.

We are repurposing old TV studios on the library's first floor into the Alkek Laboratory for Immersive Arts and Sciences (ALIAS), used for state-of-the-art digital and immersive storytelling.

TexVet Legacy is a VA-funded project where School of Social Work students collect stories of veterans interred in State or National Cemeteries and interview veteran families about our fallen heroes.
