The Special Collections and Archives is located on the second floor (Room 204) of the Alkek Library in San Marcos, Texas.

Driving Directions

From the Alkek Parking Garage, enter the Alkek Library second floor main entrance.
There is a Starbucks located on the immediate left and the Libraries Information Desk directly ahead.
Turn left after the Starbucks and before reaching the information desk, and the Alkek Reading Room (ALK 204) will be the second door on the left.

Parking

Visitor Parking Request Form

There are six visitor parking spaces connected to the Alkek Parking Garage available on a first-come, first-serve basis. More information on navigating to those spaces is on the Alkek Directions and Parking page.
To park in any of the six spaces, visitors must submit a Visitor Parking Request Form at least at least 5-7 business days before visiting Alkek Library.
If the six parking spaces are full when you arrive at the Alkek Garage, you may park at the LBJ Student Center Pay-to-Park Garage instead. You must bring your parking pass to the Alkek Administration Office (Room 153) to validate your parking pass, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Please note that we do not reserve space for people with Texas State University (TXST) parking permits. The form is only used to capture invited visitors' vehicle information and to help off-campus guests avoid a citation.
