Alkek Library Bookdrops

The Alkek Library has three bookdrops to aid in the timely return of materials:

• One drawer-type return is located in the wall near the entrance to the Library.
• One freestanding book drop is available in the parking garage at the bottom of the ramp leading to the building's breezeway.
• The second freestanding unit faces Jones Dining Hall, at the entrance to the parking garage.

Please note that in order to receive credit for timely return and to avoid fines, the following materials should NOT be deposited in the book drops:

• materials checked out from the Reserve service desk.
• media, such as CDs and DVDs.
• Items which a patron has received special permission to check out.

CDs and DVDs may be damaged in the book drops. You may be charged if an item checked out to you returns to the library damaged. Therefore, it is recommended that these items be returned to the Checkout Desk.
