Are non-Texas State University visitors allowed to use the Alkek Library?
We encourage visitors to come visit our library. Our Visitor and Alumni Services page has more information about what you can do and see at our library.

How can I get help with my research project or question?
Library staff is ready and willing to help. If you visit the library in person, visit our Ask Alkek desk in the middle of the main floor (2nd) and they will point you in the direction of someone who can help. If you are using library services remotely, check out our DIY Research page to learn how to get started on your quest.

How do I get to the library facilities and where can I park?
Visit our Directions and Parking page for more information. If you are visiting the Alkek Library, do not put our mailing address of 601 University Drive into your GPS. That is the main university address. Most GPS systems have specific locators for the Alkek Library.

Is there a quiet place in the Alkek Library for me to work?
The library's fifth and sixth floors are designated quiet floors. In addition, you can find individual and small group study spaces on floors 5, 6 and 7 along the perimeter of the floor. Check out our other space options.

If I am on the Round Rock campus, can I check out a book from the Alkek Library?
Yes.

If I need a book or article that is not in the Texas State collection, how can I get it?
