Meet with a Librarian or Specialist

Do you need help locating resources for your assignment, project, or research? Librarians and Specialists are here to help!

What to expect?

The University Libraries Research Consultation service is an informal visit with a librarian or specialist to talk about your assignment. Meetings typically last from 30 minutes to an hour. You can expect to leave your meeting with some strategies to get started and helpful tips & tricks for navigating the library databases and the finding the resources you need.

What do I bring to the meeting?

  • Your syllabus/assignment information
  • Topic ideas/your interests
  • Articles/resources you’ve found (if any)
  • Questions! It’s okay to not know what help you need, we can help you figure it out.

Who can use the free service?

University students, faculty, staff, and community members can use this free service. No matter what your research need is, the librarians and specialists are here to help.

Appointments are made online and we ask for at least 3 days in order for the library staff to prepare for the meeting. See below for the link to the request form.
